What is Algophobia? - Fear of pain

Algophobia is the most commonly occuring form of phobia found in almost all the people. Pain is something which is unbearable and hard to cope for almost everyone. In the intense case of Algophobia, the person involved fears from pain even from the mentioning of it or from smallest of pain inducing events.

The Algophobia is attributed to some sort of mental fear of dying because of the associated pain. The concerned person starts shivering, sweating, feels shortness of breathing, heavy breathing and anxiety when associated with any sort of pain either real or emotional.

Algophobia causes includes some traumatic incident in the past or recent past which has given intense pain.
