Suffering from Athazagoraphobia?

What is Athazagoraphobia?

Athazagoraphobia- Fear of being forgotton or ignored or forgetting.

The phobic person fears catastrophic consequences that are attached to himself such as his own inability to cope, the likelihood of a panic attack, mental and physical collapse or heart attack. Studies have shown that, in advance of a confrontation with something that they are afraid of, most people tend to overestimate the degree of fear that they will actually experience. phobic people are particularly likely to do this and the tendency has become known as 'the over-prediction of fear'.

Some cognitive models propose that the origins of phobias lie, at least, partly, within the realm of the inaccurately predicted fears and misconceptions held by vulnerable people. Such people may, for some reason, be particularly at risk of phobia development in certain circumstances because of the existence of their negative cognitions.
