Basophobia or Basiphobia - Inability to stand. Fear of walking or falling

Basophobia, also known as Basiphobia is a phobia which affects people who recently had a bone fracture in leg, or experienced temporarily paralysed limbs. The person does not consider himself capable to stand and walk. Basophobia or Basiphobia suffering people think that they will fall if they try to stand or walk. This condition is common in people who just suffered from a trauma with fractured bone in the limbs.

Physiotherapy and other sort of therapies are required to give the person confidence to stand up and walk. The assurance and support of family members is necessry for such people to move ahead and walk without feeling anxiety.
