What is Cryophobia?
Fear of extreme cold, ice or frost.
The body's response to stress is fast and effective, going into what can best be described as 'fright, fight or flight' mode. This means that when a person registers a challenge, his system undergoes a chain reaction of responses, which flood the body with enough strength and energy to either fight or take flight.
This reaction has been a factor in human motivation since the earliest stages of evolutionary history. Primitive human beings fre.quently faced life and death situations, when alertness, strength, speed and performance were vital and the primary, instinctive response was to survive.
